Obituary of Roy E. Clary

WINTER HAVEN, FL - Roy E. Clary, Jr. of Winter Haven, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Brandywyne Health Care from Alzheimer's disease. He was 82. A native of Winter Haven, born March 11, 1929 to Roy and Mary Varner Clary, Roy has lived here his whole life. He was a retired Building Contractor, and was a former member of the Life and Praise Temple in Auburndale. Roy was an avid, and expert golfer, who was a National Seniors Golf qualifier, and he has been able to shoot his age or under right up to age 77, where he shot a 74. Roy is survived by his loving wife of over 33 years, Janice: his daughters: Denise Johnson (Gary) of Lake Alfred, and Sonya Inzer (Mick) of Canton, GA: His step daughter: Karla Peterson (Eric) of Wyoming, MN: His step sons: Jay Heyn of Little Canada, MN, and Bill Heyn (Denise) of Jacksonville, FL; brother: Pastor Charles Clary (Bertha) of Hurley, MS: and his sister: Betty Jo Powell (Johnny) of Monroe, Virginia. Roy also has 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday from 9 to 11AM at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven.
