Obituary of Kirk A. Toune

LAKELAND - Kirk A. Toune, 47, of Lakeland, FL passed away on 5/20/12 due to a motorcycle accident. Kirk was born 2/21/1965 in Streator, IL and moved from there to Haines City, FL in 1981. After graduating from Haines City High School in 1983 Kirk enlisted and proudly served in the US Air Force and after his discharge he moved to Lakeland from Shreveport, LA. He started his career with Lakeland Regional Medical Center and then moved over to Winter Haven Hospital working in the I.T. department at both places. He was currently working as a senior network engineer for Arr Maz in Mulberry, FL. Kirk was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Lakeland and participated in the Habitat for Humanity; some of his interests were, riding his motorcycle, restoring antique cars and playing golf. Kirk is predeceased by his grandparents, Leo and Elsie Toune and Edith Bossong. He is survived by his wife of 5 years, Angela Toune; parents, Brian and Eileen Toune; grandfather, Homer Bossong; children, Kyle A. Toune, Kamron A. Toune, Konner A. Toune, Forest Riner, Drew Riner, Tori Riner; sisters, Kris A. (Danny M.) Glisson, Kari A. (Jeff) Chism; niece, Taelor Chism and nephew, Tanner Chism. Kirk was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend who touched and made everyone who knew him proud to be around him and better for loving him. A visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 pm and the funeral service will be Thursday, 5/24/12 at 10 am at North Ridge Church, Haines City.
