Obituary of Marilyn Green Swilley

Polk City, FL - Mrs. Marilyn Green Swilley of Polk City, FL passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2012, of brain cancer. She was 68 years old. She was born October 26, 1943 in Jacksonville, FL to Edwin O. and Bernice Green who both preceded her in death. She was a 1961 graduate of Landon High School. She attended Abiding Hope Ministries of Polk City. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Maxwell Darwin Swilley, Polk City, FL, brother Robert Green of Ocala, FL, son Jeff Swilley of Auburndale, FL, son and daughter in law Darren and Aimee Swilley of Winter Haven, FL, daughter and son in law Jody Swilley Bell and Matt Bell of Royston, GA., stepdaughter Beverly Hetzel of Callahan, FL, and stepson Brian Swilley and his wife Donna of Woodbridge, VA, 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was employed by the Polk County School Board as a secretary for 29 years. Arrangements will be held at the Oak Ridge Funeral Care Chapel, 2425 W. Havendale Boulevard, Winter Haven, FL, on Saturday, June 2, 2012, where the family will receive friends and family at 2:00 pm immediately followed by a memorial service at 3:00 pm. Burial will take place in Royston, Georgia at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, Auburndale, FL.
