Obituary of Raymond A Gill

Raymond A. Gill, Sr., 86, of Haines City, FL, was a loving husband, father of three and adoring grandfather of 7. He passed away June 5, 2012 at his home with his family by his side following a long battle with cancer. Raymond was born June 29, 1925 in Haines City and a proud veteran of the US Navy serving in WW II aboard the USS White Plains distinguishing himself during the battle of Leyte Gulf. Raymond is survived by his wife, of 61 years, Ann Gill; children, Raymond A. Gill,. of Sea Bright, NJ, Marilyn Ammirata of Lake Parsippany, NJ, Dr. Richard F. Gill of Orlando, FL; sister, Leona Dionne of Winter Haven, FL. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City. A funeral mass will be Friday, June 8, 2012 at 9 am at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Winter Haven. Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
