Obituary of Mildred Pauline Strickland

HAINES CITY - Mildred Pauline Strickland, 83, of Haines City died Saturday June 30, 2012 at Haines City Health Care. She was born October 28, 1928 in Dothan, Alabama to Chester and Coreen (Waters) Jenkins. She worked as a caregiver in the home health field, was known for her tremendous love of family and for her faithful and devoted Christian lifestyle as a member of the Dundee Church of God. Mrs. Strickland was predeceased by her parents; her loving husbands; daughter Mildred McClellan; brothers Billy Jenkins and Johnny Jenkins; and sisters Ruth Anderson and Eloise Jenkins. She is survived by her sons James (Margie) Minton of Winter Haven, Rev. Paul (Gail) Tipton of Fort Pierce, Carl Sanderson of Fort Pierce, Darrell (Vicki) Sanderson of Lake Hamilton, Frankie (Angie) Strickland of North Carolina, and Richard (Lorrie) Strickland of Mulberry; daughters Irene (Eddie) Harrison of Lake Wales, Linda White of Winter Haven and Lamanda (Mike) Jones of Lake Hamilton; 31 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; and 11 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Monday, July 2, 2012 from 5-7 PM at Oak Ridge Funeral Care Haines City. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 11 AM at the funeral home with interment to follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
