Obituary of George T Greene

AUBURNDALE, FLORIDA-George T. Greene of Auburndale, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2012 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center from respiratory failure. He was 89. A native of Lakehurst, NJ, born June 19, 1923, George moved to this area in 2005 from Orlando, Florida. He was a retired bus driver for Orange County Schools and Lynx, was a member of Faith Assembly of God in Orlando, and he also was a US Army veteran during World War II, and fought in Normandy, Battle of the Bulge, and all the major theatres during the war. George was predeceased by his loving wife Marie, and his son Robert T. Greene. He is survived by his son Brian L. Green of Auburndale; daughters: Jean (Aaron) Snyder of Lakehurst, NJ, and Irene (John) Brobst of Stuart, FL. George also leaves behind two grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday from 9 to 10 AM at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven. Services will follow at 10 AM at the funeral home chapel.
