Obituary of James R. Robinson

James R. Robinson, 68, of Winter Haven, died Friday, July 13, 2012 at Winter Haven Hospital due to pneumonia. Born August 2, 1943 in Welch, West Virginia he moved to Winter Haven in 1985 from Ohio. He was retired from Publix, attended the Parkland Baptist Church in Winter Haven and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He is preceded in death by: his parents, Elford and Bertha Robinson; and 2 brothers, Ernie and Luther Robinson. He is survived by: his wife of 47 years, Dorothy; a son, James "Jimmy" R. Robinson, Jr. of Lake Wales; a daughter, Lisa Ann Robinson of Winter Haven; a brother, Monroe Robinson of Sheffield Lake, OH; 3 sisters, Edna Lester of Winter Haven, Jovet Lambert of Sophie, WV, and Alice Pearson of Emporia, Virginia; 4 grandchildren, Michelle Baum, B.J. Baum, Amber Harrison, and Jordan Robinson; and 4 great-grandchildren, Madison, Emma Leigh, McKenna and Luke. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, Monday, July 16, 2012 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, July 17, 2012 in the Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jim McKinney officiating. Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
