Obituary of Reverend Tommy F. Hunt

Reverend Tommy F. Hunt of Dundee, Florida passed away on November 25, 2021. He was 74. Tommy was born on February 22, 1947, in Chipley, Tennessee to Roy and Bertha Hall Hunt and moved to Dundee in 1963 from Dyersburg, Tennessee. He was an electrician by trade and a Pastor by Love. He was retired from Florida Natural after some 10 years as a maintenance electrician as well as being the Pastor for Resurrection Holiness Church in Dundee for 42 years. In his younger years, Tommy enjoyed going fishing, he also had a passion for his orchard of peach trees, which he was very proud of, as well as playing the guitar and singing. Tommy is predeceased by his parents, Roy and Bertha and daughter, Daphne Ann Gandy, as well as sisters, Debbie Copp and Peggy Yates. He is survived by his wife, of 54 years, Roxanne N. Hunt; daughter, Tommie Christine Hannaford and her husband, Craig of Dalton, Georgia; sons, Thomas Matthew Hunt and his wife, Michelle of Poteau, Oklahoma, Paul David Hunt and his wife, Tiffany of Rocky Mt, North Carolina; Son-in-law, Chris Gandy of Dundee, Florida; brothers, Billy Hunt, Gaylon Hunt, Charles Hunts; sisters, Jewellette Deese, Linda Willis, Betty Huss, Sheila Wood, Michelle Middleton, Cindy Carrol and fifteen grandchildren. A visitation will be Thursday, December 2, 2021, from 12 Noon until the funeral at 2:00 pm at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City. Final resting place will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City.
