Obituary of Bobby Hayward Strickland

Bobby Hayward Strickland, 82, of Winter Haven, passed went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 31, 2022, at the Good Shepherd Hospice Forsythe Hospice House. Born July 28, 1939, in Opp, Alabama to Lawrence and Mabel Strickland, he was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a veteran of the Florida National Guard and a member of the Eagle Lake Assembly of God. He worked as a USDA Plant Inspector and loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping and playing guitar. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Howard, Pete and Short Strickland: and a sister, Opal Green. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara; two sons, Bobby Strickland, Jr. and Darren Strickland; five grandchildren, Hannah, Alexis, Olivia, Dylan and Dalton; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10:00am till 11:00am on Friday, February 4, 2022, at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven.
