Obituary of Pearly Jean Cobb Watson

Pearly Jean Cobb Watson, age 82, of Murphy, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022. She was born in Houston County, Alabama to the late Wiley Thurston and Nell Hughes Cobb. Pearly was an insurance underwriter for 28 years working with State Farm Insurance from where she retired. She had lived in Davenport, Florida for 60 years. Pearly loved quilting. Her family and faith were the things that were most important to her. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Allen Doyle Watson; brothers, Glenn H. Cobb and Billy H. Cobb; and sisters, Vaudean C. Hoggle and Elizabeth C. Parker. Pearly is survived by her sons, Allen D. Watson, Jr. and wife Billie Jo and Clinton T. Watson and wife, Marie; daughter, Allison Hopen and husband, Dennis; brother, Bennie H. Cobb and wife, Emma; sister Nellie C. Holden; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. all at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City, Florida. Graveside will be following the service at Evergreen Cemetery in Davenport, Florida.
