Obituary of Alfred Goodmok

Alfred Goodmok, 80, of Davenport, Florida passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. He was born on October 18, 1941 in Manhattan, New York to Emil and Ella Hatterthorn Goodmok. Alfred moved to Florida in July of 88 from Long Island, New York and worked as a chef for 40 years until his retirement. He was a member of St Francis Cabrini Catholic Church in Springhill, FL and a member of the Knights of Columbus for 6 years, as well as being a proud veteran of the United States Army where he received the Good Conduct Medal and was honorably discharged as a SP5. Alfred enjoyed playing bingo, cooking as well as eating, going fishing and watching TV, like fishing shows, history shows, golf shows, the Price is Right, and especially to watch the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which of course, was his favorite football team. He was a devoted family man and a wonderful, loving husband, father, and grandfather. His family meant the world to him and they were his number one priority. Alfred truly enjoyed going to Disney with Katie, he always looked forward to spending time with her. He is preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Ella. Alfred is survived by his loving wife, of 44 years, Donna Goodmok; son, Joseph Goodmok of Davenport, FL; daughters, Kathleen Kowalewski and husband, Matthew of Poinciana, FL and Kim Castaldo of Henderson, NV; brothers, Walter and Jerry Goodmok of New York; sister, Mary Schultz and husband Peter of St. Augustine, FL; grandchildren, Joseph, Steven and Lauren. He will be truly missed by all. A service will be held at a later date.
