Obituary of Curtis Warren Crews
Curtis Warren Crews, 91, of Winter Haven, FL passed away on February 27, 2022. He was born on September 1, 1930, to Lester A. Crews, Sr. and Adeleine Davis Crews. Curtis was a proud veteran of US Army and upon his honorable discharge, Curtis attended George Washington University in Washington, DC. He continued his education at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. Curtis worked for 50 plus years as an engineer for Weinschel Engineering and he attended Landmark Baptist Church in Haines City, FL. Curtis loved the Lord Jesus Christ, and his life verse was John 14:6 from KJV. He served as vice mayor of Davenport and he also was a Davenport commissioner. His hobbies included golfing and working with electronics. He was also a pilot who enjoyed flying whenever he could. He is preceded in death by his parents. Curtis is survived by his loving wife, of 7 years, Linda; his two sons, Wayne (Judith) Crews of Auburndale, FL and James (Rosa) Crews of Maryland; two grandchildren, Dillon and Katie Crews both of Pennsylvania. His family remembers him as a sweet and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be truly missed by all. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral at 10:00 a.m., all at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City, FL. Final resting place will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.
