Obituary of Gary Youtzy

Gary H Youtzy, 77 will now watch over us peacefully from heaven. Unexpectedly, he never woke with the morning sun on 4-9-2022.

He grew up in Janesville and attended Janesville High School. After school Gary fought in Vietnam, as a member of the U.S. Army. He worked at several locations including Chrysler, Service Stations, Pizza Villa, Simmons Mattress, and Pizza Hut. He became a Moose member in 1973. He was proud to attend meetings and donated endless hours to the lodge. He supported the Loyal Order of the Moose and holds top honors within the fraternity. He was a role model for the entire Moose Teen Club. He loved visiting the children at Moose Heart and dreamed of the day he would go to Moose Haven. He made it as close as Winter Haven, FL where he spent his last few years with his dear friend, Lynn Moran. He was always willing to help others and welcomed hundreds of friends, family and foster children to share days, months and years under his roof. He donated his own kidney to his wife in 1997. Gary enjoyed being near the water, playing cards, board games, spending time with grandchildren, dancing, camping, and roller skating.

Gary was born in Janesville, WI August 16, 1944, son to Harold Youtzy and Thelma (James) Pyle. He married Carol Egerstaffer, February 15, 1969. He is survived by daughter, Terri (Brenda) Weatherly; children, Renae (Graham) Frank, and Matthew (Michelle) Boardman Jr; by son, Frank (Patty) Youtzy; child: Tyler Hailbucher; by daughter, Gina (Randy) Sporle; and children: Zach, Cierra and Julia Boutelle, by sisters Sandi (Wayne) Swartwout and Carol (Bruce) Churchill, by sister in-law Joyce (Ivan Collins) Danielson, by brother in-law Tony Egerstaffer, by great-grandchildren Dyllan Witt (great-great grandchild: Zander Kartes), Karter Boardman, Winnefred Frank, and Mattie Frank. He was proceeded in death by his parents, wife, and countless friends and relatives that he enjoyed spending time with.

The family welcomes you, to join them, in sharing memories, as we gather to honor him. Please join us Saturday, May 14, 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Janesville Loyal Order of Moose, 418 W Milwaukee St. Janesville, WI 53548. A supper of dishes prepared by friends will be served following the brief 6:00 p.m. Moose Service.
