Obituary of Robert W. Smith

Robert “Rob” W. Smith formerly of Marshfield, MA passed away suddenly at his residence in Haines City, FL on April 15, 2022. He was 65. 

Rob was born on June 25, 1956, in Boston, MA and graduated from Silver Lake Regional High School in Kingston, MA. He was a retired Union Laborer from Local #22 and had worked for 30 plus years with J.P. McCabe Construction.  Rob had a love of sports, whether he was going fishing or playing golf, or watching the sport teams he loved, Boston Bruins, Boston Red Sox, and the New England Patriots.  

He was predeceased by his father, Roy A. Smith and his sister, Catherine Melchione. Rob is survived by his loving family, wife, of 42 years, Marinda “Mindy” Smith; mother, Ruth Smith Tobin of Pembroke, MA; son, Michael Logue and his wife, Debra of Poinciana, FL; sisters, Teresa Quigley and her husband, Bob of Pembroke, MA, Lorraine Anderson and her husband, Russ of Carver, MA, Ruth Proctor of E. Moline, IL; brother, Michael Smith and his wife, Sue of Sandwich, MA; grandchildren, Courtney Guilfoy and her husband, Steven of Orlando, FL, Nicholas Logue and his wife, Mashey of Cape Coral, FL, Sabrina Logue of Poinciana, FL; great grandchildren, Elijah and Bryden Logue; several nieces and nephews, as well as all his loving and caring friends.
