Obituary of Jimmy Dallas Cunningham

Jimmy Dallas Cunningham, 79, of Almond, NC passed away on May 4, 2022.  He was born on June 29, 1942 in Lincolnton, GA to Louis Parks and Bessie Dallas Cunningham.  Jimmy moved to Haines City in his teenage years and attended Haines City High School.  He retired from Orange County Public Schools as a construction supervisor.  He was a proud veteran who served his country during the Vietnam war in the US Army.  Jimmy was a 32 degree Mason from the Winter Park Lodge and a member of the Bahia Shrine Temple in Orlando , FL.

Jimmy loved to travel the county.  Whether it was on his motorcycle with his friends or in his RV with his wife, he loved the adventure of travel and seeing new places.  Once retired, Jimmy and Marlene moved to their dream location in the Great Smoky Mountains of North Carolina.

He is preceded in death by his parents.  Jimmy leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, of 53 years, Marlene Lovell Cunningham; daughter, Cathi (Andrew) Kulas; sister Becky (Dennis) Courson; and two grandsons, Brandon and James Kulas.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 27, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Forest Hill Cemetery.
