Obituary of Linda L Schmall

Linda Schmall, 82 of Winter Haven, FL passed away on July 14, 2022. Born to Glenn and Evelyn Needy in Coleta, Illinois. Linda moved to the Winter Haven area 18 years ago to retire after residing in Las Vegas, Nevada for 15 years.  

Linda was a registered nurse for 43 years before deciding to retire and enjoy everything the world has to offer as she was a world traveler going to so many places. She loved to cook and even published 2 cookbooks. A big passion of Linda’s was being involved with the church missions. Linda loved her family dearly and enjoyed putting together many family reunions over the years. She also enjoyed canning and quilting over the years.  

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Evelyn Needy; twin brothers, Jerry and Larry Needy; sister-in-law, Pat, brothers-in-law, Jim, and Steve. Linda is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth (Gary) Middleton Julie (Kraig) Grell, ; son, Marlin (Dawn) Schmall; sisters, Loretta (Bob) Hiel, Cindy Stutz; brothers, Dan Needy, Michael (Pam) Needy; grandchildren, MacKenzie (Ben) Esgar, Brady (Elizabeth Orr) Grell, Haley Grell (Jade Dowd), Bentley Grell, Kelsey (Will) Jones, Shayla Schmall; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Macklin, Collins, Campbell, Blaine, Cahill. 

Visitation service will be held Monday, July 18, at 10:00 at Winter Haven First Church of The Nazarene with a funeral service at 11:00. Reception immediately following at the church. 

Visitation service will be held Monday, July 25, at 10:00 at First Church of the Nazarene located at  411 13th  Ave. Sterling, IL 61081 with a funeral service at 11:00. Interment immediately following. A reception will take place afterwards at H.C. Hatton Center Sterling, IL
