Obituary of Patricia L. Cody

Patt Cody passed away on September 3rd, 2022 from a long illness caused by a heart condition. Patt was born in Winter Haven Florida, and graduated from Winter Haven High School in 1958. She married her husband Ed in 1960, and they had 62 years of love and devotion.  Patt’s greatest gifts were her husband Ed and son Mark. She absolutely adored animals and devoted her life to being there for her family, friends and community in times of need. Patt had a great sense of humor, and loved life’s every moment. She loved Florida football, Florida baseball (pro and college), fishing, gardening, her pets, and cooking for her family. Patt was the premier host. She enjoyed bringing her family and friends together for cookouts and special holidays. Life was a celebration for Patt, and it has been a joy for her family and friends to have been a part of the celebrations. Patt’s strong faith never wavered, and her smile never dimmed.
Patt was predeceased by her parents Silas and Gussie Rutledge. She is survived by her husband Ed Cody, son Mark Cody and many cousins.

Family will be receiving friends on Thursday, September 8th from 6-8pm at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven. Graveside Services will follow on Friday, September 9th at 10am at Lakeside Memorial Park in Winter Haven.
