Obituary of Lewis A. Elmore

On September 7, 2022, Lewis Elmore, beloved father of five, passed away at the age of 82. He was born in Jackson County, Florida on April 4, 1940, to Luther and Annie Estelle Elmore. 

He owned an appliance repair business for most of his life and was known for his generosity and love of conversation.  

He is preceded in death by one daughter, Li Yu Huang. He is survived by three siblings, Hazel Wimberly, Mervin Land, and Terry Elmore, and his children, Greta Perryman, Mary Yakovets, Charlotte Elmore Donderis, Sarah Wu, Matthew Elmore, and Li Chieh Huang. He was also “Papa” to twenty grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. 

A visitation will be held on Saturday September 10, 2022 at 2:00 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 1958 9th Street SE, Winter Haven, FL with funeral services following at 3:00 pm. Funeral arrangements are through Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven.
