Obituary of Kumar Gangadin

Kumar Gangadin, 79, of Davenport, FL passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family. Kumar was born to Bhagwantia and Thomas Taylor on August 20, 1943 in Berbice, Guyana. He moved to the United States 35 years ago, and to the Davenport area in 2014. He worked as an Accountant for more than 50 years.

Kumar was a Spiritualist and a Minister of the gospel. He enjoyed reading about topics varying from the Bible to reiki to greater life. He also enjoyed listening to music like Engelbert Humperdinck, The Bee Gees, Neil Diamond, Jim Reeves, and Sarah Brightman. He loved playing his favorite video game Legend of Zelda with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Doreen; Two sons: John and Stephen; Three daughters: Sharon Sunich, Joan Edun, and Grace Edun; One brother Ivan Gangadin; Eleven grandchildren: Emma, Jonathan, Maryam, Dean, Karena, Reanna, Aaron, Arvin, Kaamilah, Joseph, and Nathen; Four great-grandchildren: Zaiden, Ezra, Isaac, and Emmanuelle.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. until the service at 3:00 p.m. at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City, FL.
