Obituary of Edward Wiley

Edward "Ed" Richard Wiley, Sr. 

Ed Wiley, 86, of Davenport, Florida passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 27, 2022 surrounded by loved ones. He was the beloved husband of Charle Wiley, to whom he was married for 44 years.

Born on April 29, 1936 in Plant City, FL, he was the son of the late Edgar and Thelma (Carter) Wiley. He was a graduate of Haines City High School. Ed's career was in the citrus industry working at Bordo Citrus before becoming self-employed at Carter and Wiley Fruit Co. Among his proudest accomplishments was his 21 years in the Army National Guard. 

He is survived by his wife and 2 children, Rick (Beth) Wiley and Shannon Mills. 6 grandchildren, siblings, Earl (Betty) Wiley, Dorothy (Joe) Vinti, and Terry (Ami) Wiley. He was preceded by 2 sisters, Doris Cotton and Margaret Lane. Ed was a man of incredible strength and resiliency with a big heart who will be missed by many including numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

Family and friends are invited to gather at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 1001 E Grace Ave, Haines City, FL 33844. Viewing, Thursday, Dec 1, 2022 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. Service will take place on Friday, Dec 2, 2022 at 11:00 am.
