Obituary of Sofia Pappas

Sofia Pappas, 64, of Davenport, Florida passed away on November 26, 2022 at Advent Health Heart of Florida in Haines City, Florida. She was born on July 9, 1958 in Athens, Greece to Gerasimos Michailidou and Aikaterini Stavridis. Sofia worked as a postal worker for 15 years in Greece, moved to Florida 25 years ago and was a member of St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church of Winter Haven, Florida.

Sofia enjoyed cooking and baking, traveling, and was an avid reader. She loved and cared for her family and friends, especially for her grandchildren. She enjoyed visiting her friends in Greece as well as the United States, and was happy to travel back and forth every six months.  Her family and friends remember her as an easy-going and loving woman who was always there for everyone else.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Gerasimos and Aikaterini Michailidou. Sofia leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband, of 25 years, Constantine Pappas; daughters, Christina “Nina” Krienke and husband, Joshua and Angela Woodrum; brother, George Michailidou; sister, Aphroditi Karaliopoulou; grandchildren, William Constantine, Alexa, Gianna, Nicholas, Alexander and Andrew; and many nephews and nieces. She will be truly missed by all.
