Obituary of Mary Lou Harrison

Mary Harrison, 73, of Winter Haven, Florida passed away on December 15, 2022. Born in Richmond, Virginia to Robert and Louise Boykin.  

Mary moved to the Winter Haven area in 1976 from Macon, Georgia. She was an English teacher at Winter Haven High School for many years before retiring and then volunteered her time at Dennison Junior High helping with the special needs children. Mary loved to read, and you would catch her reading every chance she could get. She enjoyed needle work, arts and crafts, baking, going to plays at the Winter Haven Theater, and she genuinely enjoyed her rose garden.  

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Paul Harrison; parents, Robert and Louise Boykin. She is survived by her daughter, Sonya Harms (Joshua); grandchildren, Harrison and Lily Harms; and her friends. Mary will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
