Obituary of Bonnie S. Whitaker

Bonnie Mae (Smith) Whitaker passed away December 16, 2022, at the age of 86.  She was born October 24, 1936, in Hamilton, Ohio. She moved to Haines City, Florida, in her youth, where she lived most of her life. She met and married her husband, Gene, in February 28, 1953. We are celebrating their reunion in Heaven. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Myrtle and Oather B Smith; her husband, Eugene Whitaker; and siblings, Jean Posey and Tom Smith.  She leaves behind a large loving family: sister, Elizabeth Thompson; children Barbara and Wilbert Brown, Glenda and William Sanderson III, Terri and Kenneth Whitehead, and Mike and Carol Williams; grandchildren Chris Brown, Aaron Williams, William Sanderson IV, Angela Surber, Crystal Blankenship, Ronald Hester, Robert Whitehead, and Timothy Whitehead; and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 till 11:00am Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 1001 Grace Avenue, Haines City, FL.  Funeral services will Follow at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel, followed by interment at Forest Hill Cemetery.
