



Obituary of James M. Koch
James M. Koch, 85, Winter Haven, passed Wed. Jan. 18th. He was born Aug. 23, 1937 to the late Agnes and Bernard Koch in New Castle, Nebraska.
Jim graduated from Trinity Prep Seminary, Sioux City, Iowa. He served in the Army for 2 years and worked as a railroad brakesman. Jim married Judith Didier in 1963, and they had 6 children.
The Koch family moved Winter “Heaven” Florida in 1976. Jim was a realtor, investor, landlord, a committed Catholic and devoted to Jesus and Mary. He witnessed, gave generously and volunteered with the church and Life Choice Pregnancy Resource Center.
Judy Koch, passed in 1990 and Jim remarried in 2019, to Margaret Lloyd.
Jim was known by the shuffling of cowboy boots, whistling a tune and keys jiggling. He was quick to smile, sing, yodel, dance and laugh.
He is survived by: Karl & Kathryn Koch, 58, Dion Montesano, 57, Nancy Anderson 56, Jim Koch 54, Patty Dlugokecki 52, 11 grand and 7 great grand children.
Funeral, Friday, February, 3rd, 2023, 11am, at St. Joseph Catholic Chapel, Winter Haven, Florida. In lieu of giving flowers, the family asks those who are able to make a donation to Good Shepherd Hospice, Auburndale, or Life Choice Pregnancy Resource Center, Winter Haven.
