Obituary of Walter Mangus

Walter Mangus, 77, of Winter Haven, Florida passed away on January 27, 2023. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Felix and Dorothy Mangus. Wally was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1965 where he met the love of his life Judy. They married and moved to the Winter Haven area in 1967 after both completing their military service.  

Wally was a member of First Baptist Church in Wahneta, Florida. He was a proud member of the National Rifle Association. He was a gun enthusiast. Wally enjoyed watching the University of Alabama Football and the Cincinnati Reds baseball teams in his spare time.  He enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family. 

Wally is preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Dorothy; his wife, Judith Mangus; brother, Ronald; sister, Judy Stevens. He is survived by his son, Keith (Kimm) Mangus; daughter, Sandi (Alan) Glenn; brother, Daryl (Nancy) Mangus; grandchildren, Joshua (Jenn) Tanner, Caleb Mangus, Kaylie Mangus; two great grandchildren.  

A visitation will be held Friday February 3, 2023, from 6-8 pm at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven. Funeral service will be held Saturday February 4, 2023, at 10:00am at First Baptist Church in Wahneta, Florida
