Obituary of Kyle Thompson

Kyle Thompson, 36, a lifelong resident of Haines City, Florida, passed away on February 8, 2023 peacefully at home. He was born on September 22, 1986 in Winter Haven, Florida to Kevin Scott Thompson and Terri Lee Cook Downs.  Kyle attended Haines City High School and later attended Ridge Technical College in Winter Haven, Florida. He was a member of the New Horizon Church UMC in Haines City, Florida.

Kyle was a loving son, brother, and uncle. He was an avid video game player, an animal lover and it was said he was very artistic. His family will always remember him as a laidback and happy person that loved his family dearly. He will be deeply missed by all. 

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Maxcine and Edward Cook; and paternal grandparents, Edward and Thelma Thompson. Kyle leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Terri Downs and  step father, Robert Downs of Haines City, Florida; father, Kevin Thompson of Clermont, Florida; sister, Amanda Dorriety of Haines City, Florida; and his two loving nephews, Brantley Dorriety and Waylon Young both of Haines City, Florida; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A service will be held at a later date.
