Obituary of Shirley Sue Waters

Shirley Sue Waters, 72, of Waynesville, GA died Saturday, April 7, 2023, at Brunswick Hospital in Brunswick, GA.

Born August 17, 1950, in Decatur, AL she was a longtime resident of Auburndale, FL before moving to Ga in 2009.  She retired from the Florida Dept of Corrections and worked as a prison guard at the prison in Polk City.  She was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed doing craft projects.

She was preceded in death by her husband Maines in 2004; three brothers; and two sisters.

She is survived by four daughters, Kimberly Daniels and her husband Terry of Waynesville, GA, Rebecca Knight of Illinois, Shannon Holt of Hortense, GA and Tiffany Brower and her husband Anthony of Hortense, GA; a brother, Gary Campbell of Polk City, FL; two sisters, Connie Purser of Vernon, AL and Judy Campbell of Winter Haven; five grandchildren, Jessica, Brandon, Brett, Tera and Anthony; and several grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 9:00am till 10:00am, Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven.  Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
