Obituary of Devin Paul Edwards

Devin Paul Edwards, 58, of Winter Haven, Florida, passed away on March 18, 2023 after suffering a brain aneurysm. He was born August 14, 1964 in Harvey, Illinois. Devin is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Roberta Edwards and his brother Dwayne Edwards. He is survived by his cousin Kurt Edwards, his niece, Marybeth Edwards, and brothers Dennis and Bruce Edwards. 

Devin moved to Winter Haven in 1974 where he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and baseball. Devin graduated from Winter Haven High School in 1982 where he pitched for the Blue Devils. Devin was a lifelong Red Sox fan, and loved his English Bull Terriers, Bazil and Sophie. But nothing captured his love and attention like fishing. An avid fisherman, and expert on all things fishing and boating, Devin was a member of The Fishing Club, and loved to spend time on the water. Devin went to work for Marine Supply in 1993 and spent 30 years sharing his extensive expertise and knowledge until recently, when he began to experience significant health issues. Devin's faithful presence, kind heart, and genuine spirit will be missed by all his friends and family. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 6-8 pm at Marine Supply. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bobby Lane Fishing for the Devin Edwards Scholarship Award to be given at the Annual Bobby Lane Cup each year.
