Obituary of Avalon A Brooks

Avalon Brooks, 85 of Auburndale, Florida went home to be with the Lord on May 12, 2023. She was the daughter of the Late Harry V. Detrick and Velma Detrick, and widow of Squire, the love of her life.

She was a lifelong nurse, that was her passion, caring for and helping people. She accepted Christ at a very early age and studied the word and shared her love for Christ with any and everyone that wanted to grow in the knowledge of the Lord.

She is survived by her children, Sherri Allen of Zephyrhills, Florida, Carolyn Davis of Rolla, Missouri, Jack Camp (Sue) of Auburndale, Florida, Rosemary Camp of Tampa , Florida, Tommy Camp (Amy) of Temple, Georgia, a sister Kitty Markham and 16 Grandchildren, 26 Great Grandchildren, 5 Great-Great  Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son Danny Toole, her brother TK Hilton, and Granddaughter Cassie Ross

Celebration of Life will be held at Christ Memorial Baptist Church on Wednesday 17 May 2023 at 1 PM located at 2929 Hardin Combee Rd Lakeland, Florida 33801. There will be a meal served at the church fellowship hall after the internment at Serenity Gardens Cemetery.
