Obituary of Tom Cardinal

Tom Cardinal of Haines City, Florida passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was 60 years old. He was born on Monday, April 8, 1963, to Alfred and Jean Plourde Cardinal in Great Barrington, Massachusetts and moved to the area in 1991 from Massachusetts.

Tom had a career at Walt Disney World for some 32 years in security and was set to retire this coming June. He was of the Catholic faith and a proud member of the United States Army, being stationed in Germany for four years. Tom was a fun-loving guy who enjoyed playing golf, going on cruises and taking care of his animals, all eleven cats and three dogs, but what he loved was being Pop-Pop and watching his grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Jean, as well as his brothers, Johnny Cardinal and Jeff Cardinal and sister-in-law, Lisa Cardinal. Tom is survived by his wife, of eleven years, Debbie Cardinal; children, Kimberlee Williams and her boyfriend, Martin of Kissimmee, Florida, Russ Williams and his wife, Candy of Clayton, New Jersey, Erick Williams and his wife, Sadie of Gloucester City, New Jersey, Chris Williams and his wife, Nikki of Savannah, Georgia; siblings, Alan Cardinal and his wife, Sylvia of Maine, Brian Cardinal of Florida, Craig Cardinal and his wife, Cheryl of Florida, Michelle Jones and her husband, Thomas of Massachusetts, Debbie Frigon and her husband, Ed of Massachusetts and grandchildren, Trista, Autumn, Elliana, Alannah, Martin, Paige, Mattie, Kyle, Leland, Erick, Jr., Penelope, Nancy, Emma and many loving nieces and nephews who loved him, as well as his cat Peanut and his dogs, Mocha, Tinsel and Gizmo.

A gathering of family and friends will be on Saturday, July 8, 2023, from 3:00 pm until the celebration of life service will be held at 4:00 pm at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City, Florida.
