Obituary of Jose Arroyo Cesareo

Jose "Cheo" Arroyo Cesareo of Davenport, Florida passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023. He was 74 years old. He was born on Wednesday, February 2, 1949, in Catano, Puerto Rico to Domingo Arroyo and Enriqueta Cesareo and moved to Omaha, Nebraska in June of 1998 and retired to Davenport, Florida in November of 2019. 

Cheo was a truck driver while in Puerto Rico and continued his career in Nebraska for 21 years. In his younger days he was both a baseball coach and umpire and had a love for boxing, he was also a terrific Salsa dancer.  

Cheo is predeceased by his father, Domingo and his mother Enriqueta and her husband, Manuel. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Toñita Correa; daughter, Legna Colon-Arroyo and her husband, Jose of Omaha, Nebraska; son, Saul Arroyo and his wife, Yadira of Haines City; sister, Alba Arroyo of Bronx, New York and grandchildren, Ynna Colon of Atlanta, Georgia and Indira Colon of Kansas, Kansas.  

A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, June 16, 2023, from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City, Florida.
