Obituary of Mary Jane Chew

Mary Jane Chew, 82, of Davenport, FL passed away on June 21, 2023 at AdventHealth Connerton in Land O Lakes, FL. She was born on March 21, 2023 in Ravenna, OH to Gerald and Florence Scott Jagers. Mary Jane moved to Florida 32 years ago from Ravenna and spent her life caring for her family as an homemaker always being there for her family. She was a past President of the American Legion Auxillary and she was of the Christian faith. 

Mary Jane was an avid bingo player, who also enjoyed, playing cards and Yahtzee with everyone. She loved gardening, cooking, baking, traveling with her late husband, hanging out with her friends and playing games with her grandchildren. She was a Nascar follower, in fact you will always find her and her late husband watching Nascar together. Mary Jane loved her family, and she will always take the time to visit them every time she could. Her family will always remember her as a cheerful, loving, kind woman and a very helpful person who will help anyone in need without expecting anything in return.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank Jr.; ten siblings; and grandson, Stevie Barnhart.  Mary Jane is survived by her son, Frank Chew III and wife, Margie; daughters, Vicki Johnson and husband, Robert, Michelle Platt and wife, Cheryl Duzan, and Deborah Smith and husband, Philip; brother, David Jager; sister, Linda Guinaugh and Diane Yocum and husband, Terry; ten grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; her extended family and friends; and her FWD Church family. She will be truly missed by all who loved her. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 22nd, 2023 at  4:00 pm at The Sunspot LLC, 737 Ridge Rd, Newton Falls, OH 44444.
