Chick was a one of a kind! When he and Mary began dating Mum and Dad decided that Mary and I were a package deal. I was the winner!! He took me everywhere they went!! Mountain climbing, to the movies, sea shore beaches. You were a great playmate for George, your shared interest in engines, wood working and leather crafting made you the best brother-in-law anyone could have!
Chick was a man of many talents and interests. However, many people did not know that he was a great teacher! As a student he had some dubious ways, but as a teacher he taught the kids right away “you can’t con a con man!” This aloud him to identify with students that needed positive encouragement. He found what good talents they had and worked with these kids afterschool. Dirt Biking was huge in the late 70’s. Chick was a great back yard mechanic and with this common interest he worked with these kids. One Rule, they had to keep their classwork up in order to participate!! Many of us at school wondered how these would students would turnout? Many of his students turned into very successful business men and women!

Chick and Mary were students of mine. Mary full of laughter and Chick being Chick. When I resided in Fl, Chick reached out to me and took me one of his trails in the Fort Meyers area. They truly enjoyed their retirement. My condolences to Tish and their Family. Jim Dadoly

Chick was a one of a kind guy. Irreverent and also deeply spiritual. He never met a stranger but he was devoted to his family. He worked hard and played hard. Everyone who knew Chick will miss him.
Chick loved to tell stories, and sometimes they were even true! It was several years before I realized some were just told for effect. If he made you laugh, he was happy. I love you Charles, and I am envisioning you with your beloved Mary Elizabeth.
