Obituary of Charles Manion

We regret to announce the passing of Charles “Chick” Manion, age 81, from Auburndale, Florida on June 28^th, 2023.

Chick was predeceased by his parents Mildred and Thomas Manion as well as his wife Mary McNIff.

He is survived by daughters Kelly Manion & Kathleen Petro as well as his granddaughter Elizabeth Petro-Levay.

Chick was married to his high school sweetheart for over 50 years. He proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard and Air Force. Chick moved his family from Massachusetts to Florida in 1979 and began his own business. Chick loved woodworking, watching movies, chess, and blackjack. He was actively involved in the sport of kneeboarding with his daughters and was a trail steward for our local parks.

No services will take place as Chick requested, but we do appreciate your love and support during this difficult time.

Chick will be deeply missed and always remembered. “Poppy’s” love, his laugh, the memories we made, the life lessons we learned will always stay with us. May he now rest in eternal peace.
