Obituary of Jean Gardy Simeon

Born, Jean Gardy Simeon on August 6, 1975 in Port au Prince, Haiti  to his mother Marie Simeon.

Jean came to the United States at the early age of 5 years old. He resided in Spring Valley of Rockland County, NY. Jean started his education at Colton Elementary & transferred to Elmwood Elementary, then moved onto Kakiat Middle School, & later graduated from Ramapo High School in 1995. Jean was always athletic. He played football in high school, he was on the wrestling team, outside of school he learned Karate. Excited to start a new chapter in his life, he was off to college. Jean attended the University at Albany, NY majoring in Sociology & he graduated in 2001.

Jean later moved to Newark, NJ then switched temperatures to Fort Pierce, FL for a little while to then buy a house in Winter Haven, Fl where he resided with his wife & 2 youngest daughters.

Through the years, Jean was always doing something new, he loved to have fun, and he loved kids. Jean was known for taking his younger cousin, nieces & nephews out for a good time. Whether it was out to get ice cream, grab a bite to eat, the park, or the ice skating rink – Jean just wanted them to smile & enjoy their youth. Jean was full of character,  full of life, and full of smiles. Even on your worst day Jean would find a way to make you smile. Jean loved his family and loved his friends, all whole heartedly. From being a body builder to being a chef at a restaurant, holding management positions at different companies, to truck driving, he did it all. Jean recently decided to switch careers & wanted to join the police academy & started their training program.

Sadly, Jean’s vibrant spirit left us here on earth June 30th, 2023.

Jean, you always kept your faith to God. You  had a big personality that we all loved. You were energetic & selfless you lit up a room with your smile. You loved & cared for people always willing to help when someone called on you, you were a brother to most. You were such a comedian always telling a joke any & every time.

You were always family oriented, patient, brave, trustworthy, & compassionate. You were a hard working man. You will truly be missed and forever be in our hearts.
