Obituary of Angelina "Dolly" Crocilla

Angelina “Dolly” Crocilla, 93, of Haines City, FL passed away on July 14, 2023 in Kissimmee, FL. She was born on September 3, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY to John and Lena D’Agosto Ponella. Angelina was a homemaker, and she embraced the role with grace and devotion. She moved to the vibrant State of Florida in 1980 from Long Island, New York, however, life’s journey led her to Gadsden, Alabama, where she resided for a time. She then returned to her beloved Florida in 2021. Angelina was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Haines City, FL.

Angelina enjoyed crocheting, playing board games, reading cookbooks, and singing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren which was a source of immense delight for her. Television was another medium that brought enjoyment to her, and she eagerly followed shows such as “Shark Tank”, “Wheel of Fortune”, “Dr. Phil” and “Lidia the Cook”.  

She is preceded in death by her parents John and Lena; her beloved husband, Peter Michael Crocilla; and her siblings, Marion Greco and Teresa D’Ambrosio. Angelina is survived by her daughters, Nancy Johnson and husband, Chriss of Gadsden, AL and Barbara Viola of Haines City, FL; brother, John Ponella of the Philippines; grandchildren, Cynthia Norris, Nicole Johnson, Anthony Viola and Anna-Maria Viola; great grandchildren, Jesse Norris, Sophia Norris, Marit Norris, Mikko Norris and Zayn Alzedan; and great great grandchild, Silas Norris. Her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City, FL. The funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at 10:30 am at St Ann Catholic Church in Haines City, FL, we will then make our way to Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL for the committal service at 2:00 pm.Bottom of Form
