



Obituary of James E Woocook
The world lost a great man on July 25, 2023 when James “Jim” Elwin Woodcook passed away in Davenport, FL. Jim was born on November 17, 1944 in Albion, NY to loving parents Elwin and Dorothy Woodcook (Kaminski)
Corporal Woodcook served in the United States Marine Corp in the Vietnam War.
Jim loved to travel, plant vegetable gardens, collect coins, bird figurines, antiques and various items. He enjoyed playing dominoes, visiting casino’s, and watching NASCAR. He truly appreciated spending time with his family.
Jim was predeceased by his wife of 28 years, Karen Woodcook (Kransler), and his son Mark Woodcook. He is survived by his daughter Christine Smiley (Woodcook)and her children Cassady (17) and Jaxson (12) Smiley as well as his brother Richard Woodcook, his wife Pam and their daughters Lisa and Suzie.
Jim was a loving father and grandfather, and was always there for his family. He was a hard worker, patient, smart, caring, generous and was always willing to lend a hand to neighbors and family.
James Elwin Woodcook will be laid to rest at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. He will be remembered and deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
