Obituary of Mabel R. Adams

Mabel R. Adams, 103, of Winter Haven, FL passed away on August 11, 2023.

She was born on April 21, 1920 in Goodman, Alabama, Coffee County to Eliga Moses and Vera Frances (nee Ross) Richards. Mabel was a member of First Baptist Church of Lucerne Park. She owned her own business, Mabel’s Crafts and Gifts on Havendale Boulevard, Winter Haven, FL for 25 years.

She is predeceased by her parents, husbands Chester Standfield and Ed Adams, brother, Lupert Richards, sisters, Louise R. Martin,  Delda Livingston, Peggy Brannon and Mavis Richards, and nephew James H. Weeks and wife, Kay. She is survived by nephews Robert V. (Bettie) Weeks of Winter Haven, FL, Dennis Harper and Larry Harper, both of Aiken, SC, and Darrell (Kim) Brannon of Stuart, FL; nieces, Cynthia (Richard) Swearengin of Cottondale AL, and Jenny (Lance) Powell of Lake Hamilton, FL.

A visitation will be on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at 10:00 am until the funeral at 11:00 am all at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City. Interment to be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City, FL.
