Obituary of Lorena C. Roberts

On August 17, 2023, just three days after her 94th birthday, Lorena Carter Roberts went home to be with her beloved husband, son and our Lord.

Born August 14, 1929 to Iva and Ewell Carter in Bath County, Kentucky. She had a brother/best friend, Robert Carter and sister, Mary Stewart, sadly deceased. On April 7, 1956, she wed Albert F. Roberts in Chicago, Illinois. They would celebrate 32 years together.

In the late 50’s, early 60’s, they became foster parents to 32 (also) babies and kids, adopting Mark Gregory, June 22, 1960 – March 12, 2007 of Eustis, FL, and Deborah Joy, born July 25, 1962 of Martinsville, IN. She was grandmother to Jenna Grigsby Roberts, Nicholas and Madison Roberts also of Eustis, FL and Jacob Albert Lewis of Jeffersonville, IN. She was the great grandmother of three great grand kids. She was family dedicated & friend to many, working for over 40 years in retail.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 11:00 am all at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City. Final resting place will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City.
