Obituary of Pedro Jose Sanchez Perez

Pedro Jose Sanchez Perez, also known as Peter or Uncle Petey, passed away on August 18, 2023, at the age of 46 in Davenport, FL. Pedro was born on May 16, 1977, in Caguas, Puerto Rico. He was a genuine man who kept it real and had a great sense of humor. Pedro was a dedicated son, brother, father, and all-around authentic gentleman.

Pedro had a passion for working on cars, and he enjoyed building model cars with his girlfriend Jennifer. He was also a fan of the Orlando Magic basketball team and loved watching their games with his mom. Pedro appreciated the simple joys in life, such as seeing the sunset and had plans to travel soon to witness the beauty of nature's fall colors. 

Pedro will be deeply missed by all who knew him but will always remain in their hearts and thoughts. He is survived by his mother, Josephine Sanchez, and his father, Pedro Julio Sanchez. Pedro is also survived by his girlfriend, Jennifer Welcome, and his children Jordan (22), Xavier (19), and Gabriella (17). He leaves behind his siblings Eddie Cruz, Brenda Oliver, and Veronica Sanchez, as well as his nieces and nephews Bryanna, Jocelyn, Eddie Jr., Elijah, Jeremiah, Victoria, Cameron, and Nathaniel. The bond that was shared between Pedro and Nathaniel will be cherished forever.  He is predeceased by his uncle Ralph Perez (6/25/53-5/13/2020).

Pedro attended Gateway High School and furthered his education at UTI, where he studied Automotive Mechanics. He pursued a career in hotel hospitality, holding multiple positions in the industry. Pedro also found joy in being a driving instructor, a role that he truly enjoyed.

In his free time, Pedro indulged in his hobbies, which included working on his cars, watching basketball games, building model cars and playing video games. 

A memorial service to honor Pedro's life will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023, from 5-7pm with the service being held at 6 pm all at at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, located at 1001 E. Grace Avenue in Haines City, Florida 33844.

Pedro Sanchez Perez's presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
