Obituary of Dorothy Collins Gilbert

Dorothy Collins Gilbert, went to be with her Lord on September 3, 2023, at 99. Born in Auburndale, FL on February 18, 1924, to W.V. and Mary Alice Waggoner Collins.

Dorothy graduated from Kissimmee, FL in 1942, married Calvin in Lake Wales, FL in 1945, and traveled extensively with him during his 20 years of military service. They later retired in Blue Ridge, GA for two decades before settling in Haines City, FL, where they were active members of Landmark Baptist Church.

Dorothy is survived by her children: Marcia Nielsen of Mt. City, TN; Glen (Monica) Gilbert of Dublin, OH; Lori (Ray) Sancho of Fowlerville, MI; granddaughters: Doni Gibson, and Naomi Snizek. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Calvin L. Gilbert.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date at Landmark Baptist Church.
