Obituary of Maryann Kinard

Maryann Nonemaker Kinard passed away peacefully in Haines City FL on August 18, 2023 after a short illness. She was born in York PA to Wilbur Nonemaker And Edna Miller Nonemaker on June 27, 1929. She lived her early life in the York area moving to Elwood City PA in 1960. She married Paul William Kinard in 1947 and remained married to him for 55 years. After his retirement they relocated to Florida where he died in 2001.
Maryann is survived by seven of her eight children: Lynn Durchman in NC, Bill Kinard in PA, Emilie Rogers in OH, Joan Donatelli in MI, Kathy Collins in VA, Elizabeth (Bitsy) Jones in PA and Andrew Kinard in FL. A beloved son, Timothy Kinard, passed away in 2020. She also leaves behind 20 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren as well as countless friends from her Florida Community, West View Ridge.
Maryannn was a loving and thoughtful mother and grandmother. All her life she loved children and was always able to relate to them on their level. Even into her 80’s she worked as a teacher’s aide for Polk County School Board for special needs children in an elementary school. Maryann lived a full and busy life. She loved making crafts, playing cards and board games, reading, swimming, cooking and baking. In her community and family she was famous for her baked goods especially her pies, cookies and angel food cakes. She had a sharp mind until the very end and was still making future plans when she was called home. Hers was a remarkable life filled with love and service. She will be greatly missed by all the people whose lives she touched.
