Oh man, what do I say? First, to your daughter and the rest of the family, our condolences and deepest sympathy. Y'all are all in our thoughts and prayers. We don't even know how to feel, mostly disbelief. It's been so long since we spent any time with you. Jason and I ran into you at the Walmart on S Florida, he didn't even recognize you. If you hadn't tapped me on the shoulder and looked me dead in the eyes I would have never known it was you either. Time and the paths you traveled made so many changes in your features. Your family may not like me or want to acknowledge me, I've never understood why and that's ok it doesn't matter to me. Regardless of their feelings toward me, you and I have history. We had a moment in time that made us a big part of each other's lives. We were each other's first love and share that bond. In some weird twist of fate we ended up step-siblings, thanks to our parents, crazy as hell! This led me to my Jason and for that I'm so grateful. You were best friends with the love of my life for a few years before you each took a different path. Y'all made a lot of memories together, you were our daughter's uncle in those days. I wish you would have gotten out of Polk or at least gotten away from that life for good. I'm sad that all those things you talked about when you were a kid never came to pass. Everyone says Superman was still your favorite. You really were a kind and gentle soul when I knew you and apparently you didn't carry that hardness that others did. I've been reading about how you continued to be helpful and caring to others, and how much your daughter meant to you. I know you were so proud to be a Dad. I will always hold a special place for you in my heart Ronnie. I will pray for your daughter and the rest of the family always. If you had to go so young, at least it was in an instant doing something you enjoyed. We will always remember you as young, wild and free! Rest In Peace, Katie and Jason.
