



Obituary of Doris Evelyn McTeer
Evelyn McTeer, 94, of Winter Haven passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Spring Lake Rehab Center.
Born August 10, 1929, in Winter Haven, she was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a longtime member of the First Church of the Nazarene of Winter Haven and retired as an Insurance Supervisor from Winter Haven Hospital.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert McTeer; her parents, Edward Owen Headley and Sallie V. Hancock Headley; brother, Alyn Headley and his wife Grace Kelly; Sister, Helen Brantley and her husband James Brantley; nephew, Richard Brantley; Niece, Cheryl Carter and her husband Bob; nephew Walter Ray Brantley, niece Chyrese Christian and nephew in law, Manny Linares.
She is survived by her daughter, Paula McTeer Graves and husband Richard of Winter Haven; nieces, Lynette (Tom) Ziegler, Stacey Headley, Natasha Ross, Cherie Branley, Laurie Linares, Barbara (Billy) Ferguson; nephews, Stephen (Marcia) Headley, George (Suzzane) Brantley, Jim Brantley, Cedric (Julie) Christian, and Charlie (Becky) Christian; and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
A Funeral service will be held 10:00am, Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven, followed by interment at Lakeside Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations in her name to the First Church of the Nazarene of Winter Haven, 560 3rd Street, SW, Winter Haven, FL 33880 or Good Shepherd Hospice, Auburndale, FL. Please do not deliver any food to the family’s residence, food will need to be brought to the First Church of the Nazarene on Friday, September 29, between 8:00am and 3:30 pm, for the meal after the services.
