Obituary of Delbert McGhee

Delbert McGhee, 60, of Haines City, FL passed away on October 24, 2023. He was born on August 20, 1963, in Haines City, FL and has been a lifelong resident of Polk County, FL.

Delbert was employed as a landscape architect, and was a proud tribal member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians as well as being of the Baptist faith. In his off time, he enjoyed going antiquing and spending time golfing, going on day trips with his wife and being in the mountains, but he had a true love for hunting.

He was predeceased by his parents, Obie McGhee and Nona McGhee as well as his siblings, Geraldine McGhee and Marion McGhee. Delbert is survived by his loving wife, of 37 years, Paula McGhee; son Cody (Kristin) McGhee and their children, Parker and Olivia McGhee; siblings, Odell (Vette) McGhee, Brenda Sue (Terry) Hupp, Brenda Lee Deal, Bo (Robin) McGhee, Linda “Punky” (Steve) Parrish and his dogs, Lily and Bogey as well as many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Saturday October 28, 2023, from 10 am until the funeral at 11 am at Oak Ridge Funeral Care Haines City, FL.
