



Obituary of Robert "Bob" Ayer
Robert “Bob” Ayer, a resident of Kissimmee, FL, passed away on October 26, 2023, at Poinciana Medical Center. Born on November 18, 1946, in Quincy, Massachusetts, he was the son of Eugene and Edith Paternesi Ayer.
Robert was a proud veteran who served his country in the US Navy from January 19, 1968 to May 26, 1972, achieving the rank of E4. While in the service he received the National Defense Service Medal and he was honorably discharged from the service. Following his military service, he dedicated over 40 years to a successful career as a sales representative, retiring in 2009.
In 2010, Robert made Florida his home after relocating from Middleboro, Massachusetts. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, indulging in his love for reading, watching romance and action movies, and taking memorable vacations. Robert loved going to the beach and sitting in the sun. In his younger years, he had a passion for playing basketball, showcasing his athleticism on the court. It was said that he was known for his quick wit and uproarious laugh, always creating an enjoyable atmosphere. He had a playful relationship with those around him, often using sarcasm, but it was always in good fun. This added an extra layer of warmth to the close bond they shared.
He is preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Edith. Robert leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, of 54 years, Jean Marie; son, Robert Michael Ayer of Walpole, MA; daughter, Debra Logue and husband, Michael of Kissimmee, FL; sister, Geraldine Adelman of Stoughton, MA; seven grandchildren, Briana, Courtney, Ryan, Nicholas, Shay, Sabrina, and Camden; three great grandchildren, Elijah, Bryden, and Scarlett. He will be truly missed by all who met him.
