Obituary of Samuella High

Samuella High, 62, a lifelong resident of Florida, went to be with the Lord on April 23, 2024. She was born on June 25, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois, to Lewis and Ella Mae Nesbitt. Samuella worked for over 30 years in social work, retiring in 2023.

Samuella enjoyed traveling, particularly cruising, indulging in reading, and watching television. She found solace in church and cherished moments spent with her family. Known for her outgoing nature, she never hesitated to speak her mind, earning her a reputation for being outspoken.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Ella Mae Shelton-Nesbitt, and brother, Eric Nesbitt.  Samuella leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Jeff High Jr., Casey (Rakisha) Anderson, Gabriel (Carmilla) Anderson, and Samuel Washington. She is also survived by her father, Lewis (Adella) Nesbitt; siblings, Lewis Nesbitt Jr., Irwin (Montrell) Nesbitt, and Lester Nesbitt; grandchildren, Casey, Nydia, Cherish, Janelle, Gabriella and two cats, Finn & Blanco.

A celebration of life will be held on April 27, 2024, at 10:00 am at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City, FL.
