Obituary of Roy J. Bowen

Davenport, FL - Roy J. Bowen, 72, a Vietnam Veteran of the US Naval Air Force Division, passed from this life into eternal life on the 26th of March 2012 due to a long standing battle with cancer. Roy was predeceased by his parents, Landrum and Lula Bowen. He is survived by his wife, of 37 years, Brenda Bowen, ; brothers, C.E. Bowen and wife, Linda of Hernando, FL, Arley Bowen of Lake Wales, FL; sister, Joyce Carter and husband Bobby of Tennessee. He also carries the love of his Aunt, cousins and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. After a tour in Vietnam, Roy returned in 1966 and worked 45 years as an electrician at Holly Hill Fruit Products of Davenport. A faithful Christian and member of the Central Church of Christ in Haines City, he loved his family, congregation and beloved Chihuahuas: Molly and Holly. Roy was a true friend to all who knew him and cherished life enjoying motorcycles, the mountains and vacationing. He will be missed by everyone.
