Obituary of Annie Satterfield Powell

WINTER HAVEN - Annie Satterfield "Little Mama" Powell, 86, of Auburndale, FL passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012 at the Astoria Health and Rehab due to heart failure. Born April 2, 1925 in Mulberry, FL she was a lifelong resident of the area. Annie was a member of iChurch Church of God in Auburndale; a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Winter Haven; a member of the White Shrine of Jerusalem; and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She is preceded in death by: her parents, William and Annie Watson; her husband, Jack Robert Powell; two brothers, Joe Hunter Watson and Durwood Watson; and a sister, Eva Nell Watson. She is survived by: four sons, David Lee (Connie) Satterfield of West Virginia, Mack (Linda) Satterfield of Winter Haven, Dean Satterfield of Auburndale and Terry (Sam) Satterfield of Lake Wales; three daughters, Joan Bilbrey (Jerald) Biggers of Live Oak, FL, Pamela (Jerry) Slaughter of Winter Haven and Melissa (Don) Biggs of Auburndale; two brothers, Ronald Watson and Gerald Watson both of Land O Lakes, FL; a sister, Barbara Hayes of Winter Haven; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm till 7:00pm, Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven. Funeral Services will be at 10:00am, Friday, March 16, 2012 in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Willow Oak Cemetery in Mulberry.
