Obituary of Lolas M. Ely

Lolas (Lois) M. Ely, of Lakeland (formerly of Winter Haven, FL went to be with Jesus on 1/31/13 due to heart failure. Lois was born in Speedwell, TN and was retired from banking. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Winter Haven and enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family. Lois is survived by her husband of 60 years, Homer, daughter Kathleen Nichols (Archie), son Kenneth D. Ely (Twyla), grand children Lindsay M. Gregory (Matt), Dustin B. Ely (Kathryn), Joshua A. Ely (Kathryn), great grand children, Nathan M. Gregory, Alexander C. Ely and Gracie L. Mosley. She is preceded in death by grand-daughter Kimberly Allison Nichols, parents Alvis and Florence McNew, sisters Elsie Lane, Rosetta Sutton and Mayola Thompson, brothers Raymond McNew and Boyd McNew. Visitation will be at 1:00 PM on 2/5/13 with services following at 2:00 PM at Oakridge Funeral Home, Winter Haven. Reverend Timothy Williams of Calvary Baptist will be officiating. Interment will be at Rolling Hills Cemetery, Winter Haven.
